Check-Up

What is a Check-Up and why do we think it is necessary?

A Check-Up is a group of examinations which can make an early diagnosis of possible diseases and risks before any complaints or diseases arise. The special Check-Up examination list is composed according to the individual, age, gender, and other factors, rather than being the same for everyone. It is not a fixed examination and may be supplemented by many varied and more advanced examinations.

Many of the examinations in the Check-Up list are aimed at diagnosing frequently encountered diseases. As well as being easily applied and economical examinations, there may also be more technological and comprehensive tests included. Having these many tests carried out as a group within the Check-Up programs is much cheaper than having them carried out one by one.

Who should have a Check-Up done?

It is recommended that all people who have no complaints or diseases have a Check-Up carried out at least once a year on a regular basis. Depending on family risk factors (such as cancer, diabetes, cholesterol, prostate and breast cancers, and heart diseases) it can be carried out more frequently.

Before your Check-Up appointment

In order to take advantage of our Check-Up service, first call our centre and get an appointment from one of our health consultants. It should be possible to make an appointment one or two days before the time it is convenient for you to have a Check-Up.

• If you are pregnant or there is a possibility you are pregnant, you should inform us beforehand.
• You should not eat for at least 10 hours before your appointment time. For this reason, morning hours are the best time for your Check-Up appointment. You are able to drink water in the hours before your Check-Up.
• You should be careful about your consumption of alcohol or overly oily foods, and smoking for one day before your Check-Up appointment.
• Do not take any vitamin supplements.
• It will be useful if you bring the results of any previous tests or examinations with you.
• You should inform us of any known diseases you have beforehand.
